Top Prospects to Watch
Jerry Jeudy – Wide Receiver – Alabama
Jeudy is the most talented wide receiver in this class, and is certainly one of the most complete prospects we’ve seen since Calvin Johnson. He has the best route running ability, hands and is one of the quickest players in college football. If you are into fantasy football, think about drafting Jeudy for your team next year as I can already guarantee he will fit into a significant role in any NFL offense right away.
Javon Kinlaw – Defensive Line – South Carolina
Kinlaw is one of the most intriguing players in the draft. At 6’6” 300+ lbs, he brings a combination of elite SEC run stopping ability as well as a nack for bull-rushing the quarterback. If SC wants to compete, Kinlaw must shut down the run game and frazzle Tagovailoa.
Tua Tagovailoa- Quarterback – Alabama
Tua has struggled against skilled defenses and will have a true test against South Carolina. Despite blowing the season opener, South Carolina has one of the better defenses in the SEC East, which may pose a threat to Alabama this early in the season. I have stated on several occasions that Tua still has several glaring question marks, but also has one of the highest ceilings in the draft. He may have one of the quickest releases in recent history, which is loved by scouts from a Tom Brady dominated era. Also look out for his pocket scrambling ability and wise decision making. Durability remains a constant threat for the young quarterback.

Bryan Edwards vs Trevon Diggs
Edwards, the prototypical NFL wideout, looks to battle against elite SEC corner Trevon Diggs. Edwards makes plays that will amazing everyone in the stadium, but has also struggled with consistency.
After several years as primarily a special teamer, Diggs has clearly taken over as the primary defensive back. The younger brother of the Minnesota Vikings wideout Stefon, has learned a thing or two about guarding elite talent. If Diggs shadows Edwards as I expect, this matchup will be too good to not watch.
Alabama vs The Spread (-25.5)
South Carolina, who is one of several SEC East teams to have already lost a game, might be one of the most underrated in the conference. Since losing the trap game to UNC, the team has since turned over the reigns (due to injury) to the future of the program Ryan Hilinski. I think Alabama takes this one, but this will be a major step up from New Mexico State. Don’t expect Bama to be winning this one by their normal margin of victory of 45+.
Prediction – Alabama 35, South Carolina 13
I think they got the spread about as accurate as they could.
