2019 Mock Draft 1.0

1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa

Position: Edge 

College: Ohio State  

Bosa is a no brainer if the Cardinals want to go defense overall. Also look for them to trade to a team looking to move up to get the QB they are targeting.

2. New York Giants (From 49ers): Daniel Jones

Position: Quarterback

College: Duke

The Giants see the opportunity and shell out several draft picks to take the QB of the future that will learn from Eli Manning.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (From Jets): Dwayne Haskins

Position: Quarterback

College: Ohio State

As the QBs start to go sooner than predicted the Jaguars trade Leonard Fournette and their first rounder to the Jets to take the guy they’ve been targeting.

4. Oakland Raiders: Josh Allen

Position: Edge

College: Kentucky

Gruden takes advantage of one of the best pass rushers that is still on the board and looks to replace Khalil Mack.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Quinnen Williams

Position: Defensive Tackle

College: Alabama

The Buccaneers take the best available on the board to pair up with Gerald McCoy. Bucs opt to go defense and focus on skill players later in the draft.

6. San Francisco 49ers (from Giants): N’Keal Harry

Position: Wide Receiver

College: Arizona State

49ers snag the top Wide Receiver in the draft and look to give Jimmy G a dominant do-it-all type playmaker.

7. New York Jets: Devin White

Position: Linebacker

College: LSU

Jets take the dominant Linebacker that wreaked havoc in the SEC. White and Adams become one of the best defensive tandems in the NFL.

8. Detroit Lions: Greedy Williams

Position: Cornerback

College: LSU

Greedy is the second LSU Tiger drafted right after his teammate Devin White. The Lions will look for pass catchers later in the draft since their target was already taken 6th.

9. Buffalo Bills: Dalton Risner

Position: Offensive Line

College: Kansas State

Bills seem to have found a somewhat permanent Quarterback. Next step in the process is to keep him healthy. Risner is the most pro ready lineman in the draft.

10. Denver Broncos: Drew Lock

Position: Quarterback

College: Missouri

Elway holds back from trading up and gets the QB of the future. Lock offers solid size and has a cannon. His potential is endless.

11. Cincinnati Bengals: Ed Oliver

Position: Defensive Tackle

College: Houston

The September favorite who quit on his team finally is taken at 11 overall. Oliver is a work in progress who will be a longtime pro, but his work ethic and loyalty may still be in question.

12. Green Bay Packers: Clelin Ferrell

Position: Edge

College: Clemson

The Packers take what could end up being the best defensive end in the draft.

13. Miami Dolphins: Will Grier

Position: Quarterback

College: West Virginia

The Dolphins opt to take the 4th QB overall and find a long-term solution in Grier. He offers great mechanics and is a gamer, something that has been lacking in Miami since Marino.

14. Atlanta Falcons: Deandre Baker

Position: Cornerback

College: Georgia

The hometown favorite is taken by the Falcons as they look to give their struggling secondary a face lift. Now that Sarkisian is gone, Trufant and Alford might become the most hated Falcons in Atlanta.

15. Washington Redskins: Marquise Brown

Position: Wide Receiver

College: Oklahoma

Instead of taking a QB, the Redskins opt for a dynamic playmaker. Hollywood Brown works will in the system and will soon be linked with a long-term solution at QB.

16. Carolina Panthers: Deionte Thompson

Position: Safety

College: Alabama

The Panther’s biggest offseason task will be to resign Eric Reid, but finding a partner in the secondary is almost as important. The Panthers haven’t been the same since losing Josh Norman and Kurt Coleman from their Super Bowl secondary.

17. Cleveland Browns: Dexter Lawrence

Position: Defensive Tackle

College: Clemson

Dexter Lawrence is the best available and the Browns look to add to their ever-improving defensive line. This is a team that will be in the playoffs very soon.

18. Minnesota Vikings: Jonah Williams

Position: Offensive Tackle

College: Alabama

Vikings realize it is time to beef up the offensive line since they have already invested so much in their struggling QB.

19. Tennessee Titans: Jachai Polite

Position: Edge

College: Florida  

Polite is just one of the many talented defensive lineman on the board and the Titans look to add depth.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Noah Fant

Position: Tight End

College: Iowa

Fant is the best Tight End in the draft and will become a legitimate option for Big Ben. Who knows what happens with the Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell sagas, but it means that the Steelers will probably have to focus on an offensive weapon.

21. Seattle Seahawks: Rashan Gary

Position: Defensive End

College: Michigan

Gary had a great season with Michigan and will look to replace what Seattle has lost since their Super Bowl rosters.

22. Baltimore Ravens: Jeffery Simmons

Position: Defensive Line

College: Mississippi State

Simmons is a very versatile defensive lineman who will help bring this team back to the playoffs. 

23. Houston Texans: Josh Jacobs

Position: Running Back

College: Alabama

Jacobs becomes RB1 and improves a weak Texans run game. Jacobs phases in while Miller moves more into a situational back.

24. Oakland Raiders (From Chicago): Christian Wilkins

Position: Defensive Line

College: Clemson

The Raiders use their second pick to take another talented defender.

25. Philadelphia Eagles: Bryce Hall

Position: Cornerback

College: Virginia

The Eagles started 14 different players in their secondary this season and will look to never let that happen again. Hall will be groomed to become the top corner young in the NFC East.

26. Indianapolis Colts:  JJ Arcega-Whiteside

Position: Wide Receiver

College: Stanford

Now that Luck has proven to be healthy, the Colts take a true possession receiver. Arcega-Whiteside was one of the most reliable targets in all of college football.

27. Oakland Raiders (From Dallas): AJ Brown

Position: Wide Receiver

College: Ole Miss

The Raiders use their third pick to take a physical specimen at WR. Brown will do well in filling in for what they lost with Cooper.

28. LA Chargers: Cody Ford

Position: Offensive Line

College: Oklahoma

The Chargers take a sleeper lineman who will be an instant starter.

29. Kansas City Chiefs: Brian Burns

Position: Edge

College: Florida State

With a high chance of Dee Ford leaving, especially after a huge penalty in the AFC Championship, they will look to fill the gap with Burns.

30. Green Bay Packers (from New Orleans): Zach Allen

Position: Edge

College: Boston College

The Packers take the best available, which happens to be a defensive end who has fallen from the top 15 like he was expected. They end up taking two dominant defensive ends who become an all-time great tandem.

31. LA Rams: Taylor Rapp

Position: Safety

College: Washington

The Rams take the guy who dominated the Pac-12. Rapp is a true ball hawk that has qualities similar to a young Earl Thomas.

32. New England Patriots: Oshane Ximines

Position: Edge

College: Old Dominion

After winning the Super Bowl, the Pats elect to take the most undercover guy in the draft. Pats stay winning and stock up on talent.
