This week’s featured game starts the season off with a bang, as the #16 Auburn Tigers will meet the #11 Oregon Ducks at AT&T Stadium. Both teams are returning 1st Round Locks from the 2018 draft, as Oregon’s Justin Herbert (QB) and Auburn’s Derrick Brown (DL) will go head to head in this promising matchup.
Herbert is currently rated as my top QB in the 2020 class, and potentially would’ve been selected in the first round before Dwayne Haskins in 2019. Herbert lost his top WR Dillon Mitchell, but gained grad transfer Juwan Johnson, a starter from Penn State. He remains extremely well protected up front, but we will see how he handles Auburn’s talented defense.
The 6’5” 320 lb monstrosity returns to Auburn to wreak havoc in the SEC. Brown elected to stay an additional year and now has a legitimate chance to be taken #1 in the 2020 NFL Draft. Brown has played against many talented offensive lines (2018 Washington, Alabama, Georgia) but this may be the best one yet.
