Chris and Brendan discuss the implications college gambling will have on football. They also compare the 2016-2017 revenue report from college athletics. And talk about SEC Country’s Way Too Early Predictions.

Summary

Gambling: With the Supreme Court ruling in favor of states legalizing gambling on college sports Brendan expresses his concern. Yet, Chris argues that not much will change for most of the fans experiences.

After the ruling, certain Big 10 Athletic Directors proposed the idea of a National College Injury Report. Both Chris and Brendan disapprove of this for several reasons.

Revenue Reports: USA Today reported the total revenue from athletics at every public school during the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

The SEC dominated all other conferences during the 2016-2017 fiscal year when it came to athletic revenue. Excluding Vanderbilt, the only private school in the SEC, the rest of the schools landed within the Top 50. And 10 ended up in the Top 20. While 6 finished in the Top 10.

Way too Early Predictions: Before SEC Country disbanded they left us with their 2018 Season Predictions. Chris and Brendan analyze their predictions on SEC Champion, SEC Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
