2018 Porch Picks: Week 6

It’s October, baby. Who’s fired up for some SEC Football? We have two great guest pickers in Allen Tate (right) and Harris Oates (below). While both are Charlotte boys, don’t let that fool you. Both Tate and Harris have deep roots to the state of Alabama. Tate is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama where he majored in all things SEC Football. Is it really an Alabama Gameday if Tate didn’t take a tailgate SnapChat of a band-party in front of the fraternity house?
Meanwhile, Harris is a recent graduate of Birmingham-Southern where he played Lacrosse all four years. Harris was raised an Auburn fan and enjoys all things SEC Football. What’s Harris’s claim to fame? You know that Will Grier guy? That guy that is a Heisman Candidate and has his face all over ESPN… Harris sacked him in high school. Chris and Allen were also playing in that game. It was possibly the greatest moment in Charlotte Latin School history.
Both are gainfully employed in Charlotte and Birmingham, respectively. Roll Tide and War Eagle to you both, and we wish everyone has a fun weekend full of college football.

One Comment on “2018 Porch Picks: Week 6

  1. Truly a significant learning moment in Will Grier’s life. It was probably the moment he knew he could handle the big leagues if he could still get up after that “sack”.
