2018 Porch Picks: Week 5
Posted by Front Porch Football on Thursday, September 27, 2018 · Leave a Comment
The last weekend of September is upon us. Fall is creeping its way into the South (except for in Columbia, SC). With the air cooling, you know it’s time for SEC football to get cranked up. With every week comes more intense games, and more intense guest pickers. This week is no different. Two Charlotte boys squaring off in what should be the matchup of the century. Side Bets have been made between Chris Paschal and the two guest pickers. If either Bivens or Cape go a perfect 20-0 this week, they will receive free Front Porch Football merchandise, including one of our new koozies.
Cape was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He is currently attending Queens University of Charlotte studying Sport Management, but previously attended The University of Alabama. Obviously, Roll Tide. Cape writes, “Bivens and I were co-captains of the middle school baseball team at Latin if you want to throw that in there. Also, have known Will since we were 6. Obviously, I’ve known Chris and his family for a long time and played sports with him throughout our youth.” Yes, Cape, no one can forget that epic summer baseball team we had in 7th grade led by your father. God Bless that man.
Will Bivens is also a Charlotte native, and a Wofford College graduate. He currently lives in Greenville, SC and despite living in Clemson territory is a die hard Gamecock fan. Will’s biggest pet peeve is Clemson car art especially BYOG bumper stickers. Go Cocks! Bivens also wants to remind Week One Guest Picker, Roo Daniels, that he is a far superior football mind.
Good luck, gentlemen, and we wish all of y’all a fun weekend full of college football!
